I see no problems with Online Education, as long as it is accredited. You do the same amount of work to get the degree, you just cut out all the electives you have to take. Just like anything you have to check the credentials of the school you are pursuing. If the school does not sound legit it probably isn't, but most are a good choice if you don't have the choice of attending a campus. Have you heard of milo academy?
